Forensic science laboratory reports confirmed that the rifles seized from the Dachigam terrorists matched the cartridges found in the Pahalgam attack, with shells fired matched to the rifles; the rifles were transported to Chandigarh by a special plane.

As the bodies of the three terrorists were brought to Srinagar, four arrested individuals identified them and confirmed their involvement in the Pahalgam attack.

The operation, carried out jointly by the Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police under the codename Mahadev, resulted in the elimination of three LeT terrorists—Suleman, Hamza Afghani, and Zibran. Shah announced the operation in Parliament.

One of the terrorists' signals was captured by sensors in Dachigam, confirming their presence in the area.

Over the following month, the IB and Army conducted coordinated efforts using equipment to capture ultra signals in the Dachigam area to locate the terrorists.

The Intelligence Bureau received credible information about the presence of the terrorists in the Dachigam area through human intelligence.

A security meeting attended by Army, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police was held the day after the attack, deciding not to let the attackers leave the country and to take steps to prevent their escape.

National Investigation Agency arrested locals who had sheltered the three terrorists after the Pahalgam attack.

On the first anniversary of the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India will never bow to any form of terror and that terrorists' designs will not succeed.

Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based terror group, carried out an attack at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 innocent people, mostly tourists from across India.
