BJP, AAP clash over Kejriwal's Lodhi Estate bungalow and 'Sheesh Mahal 2'

In a subsequent X post, Atishi accused the BJP of using misleading visuals and suggested they could have used artificial intelligence to produce them, criticizing the spread of misinformation.

Atishi urged Rekha Gupta and the lieutenant governor to publish photos of their own residences for public comparison, suggesting the public could then decide whose house is more luxurious.

BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj accused Kejriwal of double standards, arguing that the luxurious interiors contradict his common-man image.

Verma alleged that corruption within the AAP is connected to recent political developments, including seven Rajya Sabha MPs quitting the party.

Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, in the immediate aftermath of quitting the party, criticised the AAP by saying ‘Sheesh Mahal Part 2’ looked opulent and urged introspection ahead of Punjab elections.

AAP national spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar claimed the images shown as Kejriwal’s residence were sourced from Pinterest and described the claim as a big lie.

Delhi’s Leader of Opposition Atishi said the images released by Parvesh Verma were fake and not pictures of Kejriwal’s house, posted on X.

Delhi minister Parvesh Verma, speaking at the BJP headquarters, presented purported photographs and alleged that the interiors and facilities at the Lodhi Estate residence exceed standard government norms, suggesting the money spent was private rather than public and labeling the residence as 'Sheesh Mahal 2'.

Kejriwal was allotted the Lodhi Estate bungalow (95, Lodhi Estate) in October 2025 after being named leader of a national party.
