Vehicles with fake number plates used to shoot Suvendu Adhikari's aide: West Bengal police

West Bengal Police Director General Siddhi Nath Gupta said the car's number plate had been tampered with and that the original registration was from Siliguri; the plate was fake. Evidence from the spot was being collected, and one of the motorcycles used to flee was recovered.

Another BJP worker was shot on Wednesday night in Bashirhath and is undergoing treatment.
