Uttarakhand CM Dhami calls for energy conservation, Vocal for Local in line with PM Modi’s appeal

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami urged citizens to conserve energy resources and adopt responsible consumption practices, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent appeal. He said such measures were essential for strengthening the economy and advancing the vision of a self-reliant India. The CM framed the PM’s appeal as an effort to promote Atmanirbhar Bharat through collective public participation and emphasized that conserving energy while keeping national interests paramount is a collective responsibility. He noted that even small personal pledges could collectively bolster the country's economic resilience and reduce unnecessary expenditure and imports. The CM highlighted Vocal for Local and Atmanirbhar Bharat as goals that could succeed only with individual contributions from every citizen, and expressed confidence that residents would turn the PM’s appeal into a broader public movement through participation and awareness. He linked energy conservation and reduced imports to the wider push for self-reliance under PM Modi’s leadership.
