Two men linked to ISI proxy Bhatti held for plotting attacks on Delhi hotels

The Delhi Police special cell announced the arrest of two men from Madhya Pradesh linked to Bhatti; they were alleged to be planning targeted shootings and grenade attacks at hotels and clubs in Delhi-NCR. A pistol and six live cartridges were recovered, along with mobile phones containing incriminating videos and voice messages from Bhatti. Police said Bhatti is suspected to operate from Dubai; the duo were in direct contact with Bhatti’s associate Rana Bhai and had sought to procure weapons from Ahmedabad, having traveled to Amritsar on April 9. Investigators noted targets identified in Connaught Place and Chanakyapuri.

Rajveer was held on April 18 from the Sarai Kale Khan area after coming to Delhi from Gwalior; he was preparing to target a prominent hotel in Delhi as directed by Bhatti.

Vivek Banjara was traced to Dabra in Gwalior and arrested on April 16; interrogation led to the discovery of the co-accused, Rajveer.

Investigators said the duo had gone to Amritsar on April 9 for the purpose of procuring weapons.

Rajveer allegedly attempted to carry out a shooting at a club in Zirakpur; the weapon malfunctioned, and the incident was recorded on video.

A team led by Inspector Sunil Rajain and ACP Vivek Kumar Tyagi received inputs on March 31 about the duo conducting recce in Delhi and communicating with Bhatti through different apps.

Bishnoi's brother, Anmol, filed a protection application in November 2025 alleging Bhatti would kill him over recent social media posts.

In 2024, a video showing jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi wishing Bhatti on Eid went viral; the video was shot inside Sabarmati jail.
