Notification on 50% work-from-home for Group C and D employees in Tripura
In a notification released on Wednesday, Special Secretary to the state government AK Bhattacharya stated that Heads of Departments (HoDs) may ensure that 50 percent of Group C and Group D employees are required to attend office every day, while the remaining 50 percent should be instructed to work from home, excluding those engaged in essential services. The policy may also be implemented for employees in the state's local bodies, public sector units, autonomous bodies, and other subordinate offices. Employees working from home on a given day should be reachable on phones and through electronic channels at all times. HoDs are advised to draft a weekly roster of duty for Group C and Group D staff, asking them to attend offices on alternate weeks, and to include officials living near offices in the roster for the first week.
