Trinamool Congress MP from Arambagh, Mitali Bag, alleged that BJP goons vandalised her car in Goghat, Hooghly district while she was on the way to a rally of party general secretary Abhishek Banerjee. She claimed attackers, aided by BJP workers, threw stones at her vehicle, damaging its windows, and described herself as a Dalit woman from the Bagdi community. Bag said the incident occurred near the BJP candidate Prashanta Digar's election office and that she was in the front seat with party colleagues in the back.
