Organisers announced that about 1.5 lakh people from more than 550 tribal communities nationwide are expected to participate in a Janjati Sanskritik Samagam on May 24 at the Red Fort grounds in Delhi, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary year of Birsa Munda. The event is organized by the RSS-linked Janjati Suraksha Manch. A grand cultural procession from five Delhi locations will converge at the Red Fort for a public gathering. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reportedly accepted an invitation to attend as chief guest. The conclave aims to promote unity among tribal communities and other sections of society, preserve tribal identity, and highlight tribal culture, with nomadic and denotified tribes also invited and about 100 distinguished tribal members expected on stage.
