Two Indian nationals, Sukhjinder Singh (also known as 'Kala') and Yovanpreet Singh Dhillon, handed themselves in to the Bergamo Provincial Command of the Carabinieri, accompanied by their lawyer. Prosecutor Dr Fabio Magnolo questioned them, and they were later released but remain under investigation for complicity in the double homicide. They live in Antegnate, where the main suspect also resides; the main suspect, an Indian national, is still at large.

Rajinder Singh (47) and Gurmit Singh (48), both Indian nationals from Punjab and fathers of three, were shot outside the gurdwara at 11:50 pm local time. Eyewitnesses say the gunman, who worshipped at the gurdwara, bent down to touch the ground before firing about a dozen bullets, first at Rajinder and then at Gurmit, and then fled in a BMW accompanied by another vehicle with other Indian men. The two had been discussing Vaisakhi festival plans, which were cancelled after the killings.

Elder sons of Rajinder Singh said their father was threatened with a gun near the gurdwara in November 2025 by the same man later identified in the incident, and that a police complaint was filed at the time.
