Supreme Court directs Delhi HC for out-of-turn hearing of Kuldeep Sengar appeal in Unnao custodial death case

Supreme Court bench led by CJI Surya Kant refused to suspend sentence or grant bail, noted appeal listed on February 11, requested Delhi HC to hear Sengar's appeal out-of-turn within a week, decide within three months, and hear victim's appeal and co-accused matters together if maintainable.

Delhi High Court rejected Sengar's second plea for suspension of 10-year sentence and bail in custodial death case, citing gravity of offence, criminal antecedents, and no new circumstances.
