About an hour after the drive-by shooting, Met Police officers were called to a stabbing on Acre Lane, about 700 metres away from Coldharbour Lane. A man found on Acre Lane had multiple stab wounds and remains in a life-threatening condition, as does the man shot on Coldharbour Lane. Police said there have been no arrests in connection with the stabbing and appealed for information.

Drive-by shooting on Coldharbour Lane, Brixton

At about 01:15 BST on May 2, 2026, a car approached from the opposite side of Coldharbour Lane and fired seven shots, leaving a 25-year-old man in a life-threatening condition. Four people were wounded by gunfire: three others aged 21, 47 and 70 sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
