Raids at three addresses in Crewe as part of investigation

More than 500 officers executed raids at three addresses connected to the Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (Arpol) group in Crewe. Officers searched three buildings, including Webb House, and were seen at King George V playing fields and nearby Victoria Avenue; roads were reported closed near Queens Park. The operation involved Arpol’s Crewe base, which is said to have about 150 members. Europol supported British police, with assistance from Ireland and Sweden. The force stressed that the investigation is about the alleged offences, not the religion itself.
