April 19, 2026

Minister for Health Satya Kumar Yadav on Sunday launched the feeder canal works to connect Budalamma tank in Budanampalli village with Chintakunta tank. This project is grounded under the VB-G RAM G and Jaladhara initiatives and is expected to boost irrigation and groundwater availability in Mudigubba mandal of Sri Sathya Sai district. The project is expected to provide irrigation to nearly 200 acres and enhance the recharge of borewells in the surrounding areas. The canal would divert water received into Budalamma tank from Yogi Vemana reservoir towards Chintakunta tank, addressing the persistent problem of water scarcity.
