Major Terror Plot Uncovered in Delhi; ISI Proxy Operatives Arrested

The Delhi Police said the investigation into the entire network is ongoing to identify other individuals involved.

Rajveer was arrested in the Sarai Kale Khan area of Delhi. A pistol and six live cartridges were recovered, and the cell phones of both men were seized, containing incriminating videos and voice notes exposing the network. Police said Rajveer was preparing to target a major hotel in Delhi-NCR and was receiving instructions from Pakistan.

Vivek Banjara was arrested in the Dabra area of Gwalior in connection with the conspiracy.

Following the failed attempt, Rajveer concealed the weapon along the route and transmitted its location to his Pakistani handlers.

Rajveer attempted to carry out the shooting, but the pistol malfunctioned. Vivek recorded a video of the incident for their Pakistan-based handlers.

Rajveer and Vivek travelled to Amritsar, where they were provided with a pistol, around 20 cartridges, and Rs 20,000 in cash. They were instructed to open fire at a club in Zirakpur, Punjab.

After spending a few days in Delhi, Rajveer went to Faridkot, where he was supplied with another pistol and six cartridges before returning to Delhi with the plan to target a major hotel.

Delhi Police Special Cell registered a case based on intelligence inputs that Shehzad Bhatti and his associates were conspiring to carry out shootings, grenade attacks, and murders in Delhi-NCR; investigation launched. The two accused named in reporting are Rajveer (21) and Vivek Banjara (19) from Gwalior.

In March, Bhatti instructed Rajveer to procure weapons from Ahmedabad. Vivek Banjara was dispatched for this purpose. Police reported that Rajveer was inducted through social media by 'Rana Bhai', a close associate of Bhatti, and Rajveer recruited Vivek.
