Lt Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who is also chairman of the DDA, discussed modalities of developmental initiatives for Dwarka and signalled similar plans for Rohini and Narela. He directed the DDA to prepare a concrete, time-bound action plan in consultation with all stakeholders and to present future plans and projects for the sub-cities at the earliest. He highlighted attracting non-polluting IT/ITeS, healthcare, global capacity centres and digital infrastructure, and noted that better city connectivity, proximity to the airport and expanding road networks could help develop these sub-cities into hubs for data centres, semiconductor plants and warehousing in line with the Master Plan.
