GMRL, through the Land Purchase Committee, Gurugram, issued its first public notice for acquisition of private land exceeding 10,000 square metres for the Millennium City Centre–Cyber City metro corridor. Landowners in Kanhai, Islampur and Basai villages are invited to submit ownership-related objections within 30 days at the LAO office, HSVP Sector 14, or via laoggn@gmail.com. The notice discloses parcel-level details and states the parcels will be used for metro stations and tracks. The largest acquisition lies in Islampur (Badshahpur sub-tehsil) at 8,653.63 sqm across parcels of 1,881 sqm, 2,759.22 sqm and 3,637.15 sqm; 534 sqm at an institutional plot in Kanhai (Sector 44 near Fortis Hospital) is included; and 1,695.74 sqm in Basai village (Sector 9). Additionally, over 15,000 sqm of HSVP-owned land has been identified for phase two, with construction to begin after World Bank tender approval and loan sanction.
Haryana issues direct land purchase policy for metro projects
