The bund should be designed to withstand the 100-year high flood level of the Najafgarh catchment. The plan also includes advanced waterproofing for cable trenches and basement areas to prevent groundwater seepage into electrical bays; high-capacity pumps with independent power backups to be stationed at the substation’s lowest topographical points.
