Faridabad school: 12-year-old alleges assault by senior and two classmates; FIR filed; two minors apprehended

The school principal said an internal committee report on the incident will be submitted to the police on Monday.

The boy has given his statement to the judicial magistrate and the child welfare committee. He suffers from multiple medical conditions and had heart surgery in the past. Police said there is no CCTV at the school, and no staff member or student corroborated the boy’s version; authorities urged the school to conduct an internal inquiry and assist in identifying the Class 10 student.

Two Class 8 classmates were apprehended and will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board; the identity of the Class 10 senior student remains to be established.

The boy’s parents informed police after he refused to attend school and complained of abdominal pain. An FIR was registered against three suspects under sections 6 (aggravated penetrative sexual assault), 10 (aggravated sexual assault), and 16 (abetment) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The boy alleges the second instance of sexual assault occurred on Wednesday, carried out by two Class 8 classmates; he had previously alleged being assaulted by a Class 10 senior in the same timeframe.
