On World Homoeopathy Day 2026, observed on the 271st birth anniversary of Samuel Hahnemann, a scientific seminar was held at the NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi. Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh stated that homoeopathy has potential in stress management and chronic conditions and that the Delhi Government aims to strengthen AYUSH infrastructure and integrate its systems with mainstream healthcare. The government reported over 120 homoeopathic dispensaries in Delhi providing free consultations and medicines to about 19 lakh patients annually, and outlined plans to open new polyclinics, address staff shortages, and expand services, particularly in underserved areas. The Integrated AYUSH Stress Management Public Health Programme under the Manas Swasthya vision was highlighted, aiming to address psychosomatic disorders through Ayurveda, Yoga and Homoeopathy, with a co-location model proposed to integrate AYUSH with allopathic care under one roof. Attendees included senior officials and experts from Central Government Health Scheme, New Delhi Municipal Council, Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy. IEC material on homoeopathy in musculoskeletal disorders was released, and practitioners including Padma Shri awardees V K Gupta, Anil Kumari Malhotra and Kalyan Banerjee were felicitated. The government pledged to continue strengthening infrastructure, expanding access and promoting AYUSH research.
