Chandrababu Naidu urged self-reliance in power usage within the agricultural sector and called for broader adoption of rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, with a target to install solar panels for 40 lakh households in the next year. He advocated decentralized power usage to reduce transmission losses and announced plans to establish 5,000 electric-vehicle charging stations across the state, while the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation would introduce 1,050 electric buses as part of a green mobility push. He stated a target to generate 160 GW of green energy with investments of ₹5.95 lakh crore mobilised; proposals and MoUs for 90 GW finalised, and NTPC Green Energy planning investments worth ₹1.85 lakh crore. He noted solar and wind projects underway in Anantapur and Kurnool, and Rambilli to become a hub for solar panel manufacturing. He pledged not to increase power tariffs, claimed true-up charges were reversed, and that the government was bearing ₹4,600 crore to avoid extra costs for consumers, with a further ₹15,795 crore to be borne by the state. He outlined making Anakapalli district a major investment hub for large-scale industrial and green energy initiatives, referencing the recent foundation laid for the ArcelorMittal Nippon India Steel plant and the district’s growing industrial ecosystem.
