A close relative of a BJP politician, Miten Chaudhary, was killed and another individual, Dhimant Chaudhary (husband of a Congress candidate), sustained serious injuries when unidentified assailants intercepted their car on the road from Manav Ashram Chokdi toward Tavadiya Road, dragged them out, and attacked them with sharp weapons, sticks, and iron pipes. Miten Chaudhary died during treatment at a hospital. Police officers and Crime Branch personnel arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and heightened security in the city. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and using Call Detail Records to trace suspects and movements, while officials have not disclosed the motive and say culprits will be arrested soon.
