BJP state president Jakhar condemned attacks on BJP offices and workers in Amritsar, Batala, Tarn Taran and Ludhiana. He warned police and civil officers that they are accountable to the people of Punjab, must work according to the law, and that misuse of their position would be acted upon. He cautioned that AAP would not be allowed to create Mamata Banerjee-style Bengal-like conditions in Punjab and said the party would resist what it describes as violence and intimidation allegedly carried out by AAP with the support of the police machinery, adding that AAP's 'goondaism' could not silence the voice of the people.
