On April 22, 2026, Andhra Pradesh Women’s Commission Chairperson Rayapati Sailaja visited Nori Rama Sastry Government Ayurvedic College in Vijayawada in response to an email complaint alleging sexual harassment by faculty. She held separate meetings with students and with faculty to ascertain facts, and later told reporters that a student had written to the Commission alleging sexual harassment and that the college management’s inquiry had not been carried out properly.
