The assault left Gagandeep Singh alias Billa, a resident of Haidon Bet, dead during treatment at hospital. Mani of Lakhowal sustained grievous injuries and was taken to Samrala civil hospital before being referred to a hospital in Ludhiana due to his critical condition. A car was damaged in the violence.
